Reading Group: Ursula K. Le Guin

Welcome to our online reading and discussion group! The AiNA reading group meets every two months online, for a 1 hour discussion of a text that help us think about the complexities of living in the nuclear age. We read fiction, non-fiction, poetry and more. Please join us!

Reading Group: Ursula K Le Guin

For this reading group, we want to open a discussion of the work of Ursula K. Le Guin, so the conversation can span different works. However, if you are new to her work, as some of us are, we are starting with the following book of essays, kindly suggested by a participant in our last book group.

Suggested reading: 'The Wave in the Mind'

About the book:

"Join Ursula K. Le Guin as she explores a broad array of subjects, ranging from Tolstoy, Twain, and Tolkien to women's shoes, beauty, and family life. With her customary wit, intelligence, and literary craftsmanship, she offers a diverse and highly engaging set of readings. The Wave in the Mind includes some of Le Guin's finest literary criticism, rare autobiographical writings, performance art pieces, and, most centrally, her reflections on the arts of writing and reading.

Winner of the 2005 Locus Award for Best Nonfiction

The Wave in the Mind was first published by Shambhala in 2004."
